Milles Fountain and Meeting of the Waters Sculpture

Across the street from my hotel, the St Louis Union Station Doubletree.

The problem with traveling only for business is that you barely leave your meeting rooms in the hotel and the library. I saw the famous arch down the street but never had tie to go to see it. We spent the day in the beautifully restored St Louis Library but because I am allergic to new construction, I spent the day trying to breathe and didn't take a single photo.
HDR?? It's fantastic -- so clear, the light flares -- just wonderful!!

@taffy -- I tried HDR but that horribly bright light cast such huge hazy blotches everywhere that the HDR only accentuated it. So this was the one that seemed most clear with the lest haziness. If it hadn't been so cold I might have tried more settings but it was late, Bill was standing outside with me, carrying my camera bag, and we were both tired from a long day.

@jyokota In this case, it was a good choice and didn't need HDR to make it work well.

That's a great shot. It seems such a shame to be in a building all day long. Oh, good news to share with you. My daughter is invited to join Japanese National Honor Society!
