Went for a walk in Chicago Botanic Gardens with a an artist friend who said, "Wouldn't it be neat to capture the new growth in focus with the old stuff in the background but out of focus?" So here it is, Jan!
What I like about this (viewed large it's even more striking) is that the rays seem to be coming out of the taller stem. THe colors in this are beautiful -- so soft. And the bokeh reflects the colors -- softer though -- of the front berry things.
This is beautiful, your dof of focus has produced a very pretty background.
I got your comment about get pushed and had to laugh because I'd been about to ask you if I had missed it - I have the thread up for the get pushed vote and am receiving notifications for that and figured somehow in amongst all that I had missed your challenge. Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my images and yes my brain is working on something Texas without it being - the Alamo, couple of shots from today come to mind but not what I first thought of. Looking forward to your response.
