Miss Gander by jyokota

Miss Gander

My fifth grade teacher, Miss Gander, was a favorite of all her students. She made us feel like she enjoyed teaching us. Years later, I ended up going to college in a town where her aunt lived, and Aunt Ruth adopted me during my college years, when I was on the other side of the world from my home. Aunt Ruth made Christmas ornaments all year round, and this one is a particular favorite because it reminds me of Miss Gander.

Christmas trees are filled with memories. Mine has ornaments given to me during the ten years I was a classroom teacher and school librarian. I have written students' names and years on them, and more than 25 years later, a few have kept in touch with me as I have moved across various states.
It is so very very true that ornaments are filled with memories.I love the ones my students made for me ,and my special family ornaments.( I posted about some special ones today too).I hope Miss Gander knows how special she was!

What a wonderful story, it´s grea to have these kind of memories tied in a christmas tree. That is so fun ornament and the memories attached to it.
