Arab Street in Singapore by jyokota

Arab Street in Singapore

The contrast of the modern high rise with the street-level activities in the foreground caught my attention. Rows of stores sell silk fabric, carpets, colorful jewelry, and much more. The area represents approximately 15,000 people largely originating from Yemen, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Wonderful. The contrast between the Pan Pacific building and the row of shops is amazing. I can see why you'd want to capture it. I love the bins bottom right and the wonderful signs hanging from the shops.

Fabulous contrast and window into the Singapore of the past. I remember it before all the high rise structures and this really captures the change. Is it a little tilted to the right?
