Who would have known that Wrocław, Poland is home to large numbers of sushi restaurants? Or that one would open up in my building? The name, "Madame Butterfly" made me skeptical, the sushi chefs all learned to make sushi in Wrocław from each other, but they are well studied even if they've never been to Japan, and keenly committed to offering delicious sushi. Traditional as well as nontraditional sushi, innovative and delicious!
As soon as this opened I knew it was yours! Tack sharp images of the series and intriguing to watch them work together. You've told another great photographic story!
@taffy@ukandie1@rosiekerr@365projectorgchristinewebb@ivan@seanna -- Thanks for your comments! I had hardly ever dined out since arriving in Poland in February, except when I had visitors or was meeting a friend. Eating out alone can be awkward. But eating out alone with a camera, and all kinds of interesting action going on in the kitchen which is right in front of you? A whole new world of photographic opportunities. Biggest challenge was the dark lighting and that darned huge frying pan hanging down in the way.
Awesome portrait and makes me laugh to see men looking at a recipe!! Very nice clarity and love all their expressions of intent on cooking whatever they were making at the time! FAV!
