There are boxes of plastic caps being saved in various public places like schools, gyms, etc. where communities can show evidence of "coming together" for a cause. Apparently, it has to do with where community centers like homes might be built for the elderly or people with special needs by showing solidarity. I collected all my plastic caps during my five months and deposited them at my university.
