Manhattan, as seen from Brooklyn

When I see it on this site, I can see that this experiment didn't work so well. I had been playing with my new ultra wide lens, trying to capture the idea of two lines converging in the foreground at the 1/3 mark vertically, and the NY skyline sitting on the 2/3 mark horizontally. On my computer, the skyline is brighter but here, it looks like I should have just cut out the foreground as it's so dominant it demands all the attention. Clearly, I'm still learning how to use this lens!
You are probably right about those technical and compositional details, But I think this has more interest than a pure skyline shot like every other one typically taken.

This almost looks like a diorama to me. Love that park and trees in the city.

Aren't many of us still learning. And in our attempts we teach ourselves and others.
