ROFL I come here to this picture and you use the expression I mentioned in the first one I looked at. I knew we see things the same. THis one is too precious.

Thank you all for your comments and favs! This was a favorite from my pelican series taken on the Oceanside Pier Photowalk with 365ers Elizabeth, Joe, and Taffy. As Sebastian says, this angle shortens how you perceive the beak, but it was LONG and menacing sticking right into my face/camera! I had the aperture set on f/32 and with the eyes in focus, it still didn't cover the front of the beak. I had no idea pelicans had such personality and could be such fun to photograph, but we all had a memorable time photographing them! As to who won the stare down? Well, let's just say the pelican was still staring at me when I decided to move on and photograph the other pelicans.
