Taffy and I took a Photography Workshop with Gary Hart in Hawaii. We mostly had rainy, overcast weather, but the skies opened up momentarily and a few of us were lucky enough to capture the Milky Way with the Caldron of the Volcano at the bottom. The volcano was very active and quite mesmerizing to watch. See Taffy's at: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2016-09-21
I'm still struggling and fighting with Lightroom, and my inclination to return to the familiar Aperture is a strong pull. But Taffy says I will never learn Lightroom if I don't stick with it. I've titled this Take 101 but in reality, it's more like 1001. In fact, I've exported it so many times to my desktop that I have to at least post one version to make myself stop fiddling with it. This particular version was edited by committee -- first with Taffy's guidance, then at the breakfast table with four other photographers giving me tips. The version I edited in Aperture on my own turned out bluer and prettier, but perhaps less true in color to reality. So here it is. I'll probably post 100 more versions. :b
Omg i'm going through the exact same thing!! Transferring from aperture to LR is haard! How amazing that you have a great group of photographers around you though to give you advice and push you forwards! Good for you, this is awesome, fav
