My husband bakes the most incredible carrot cakes twice a year -- once in October for my birthday, once in June for Jim's (@Taffy's husband). This one was particularly moist, the icing perfectly cheesy with just the right touch of sweetness (and, I get an entire container of the "extra frosting" to cover the cut sides of the cake so I get a completely frosting-enveloped slice of cake because the purpose of carrot cake is to hold up the cream cheese frosting). But just when we sat down to eat it, Lego Boy appeared to try to defend the cake from being entirely eaten by two people since the other members of the family were gone (Taffy and Jim are in Beaver Island this weekend). Alas, he failed. Perhaps this year, Bill will have to bake a third cake.
Wow that looks so delicious! What luck that Taffy and Jim were not there to eat it! More for you! Lol! How lucky you are Junko to have such a clever husband! Well done defeating Lego Man!
So two of you devoured that amazing looking cake in a weekend? Wow that is some feast. Surely you don't have to wait until June to get it again. Should we be wishing someone a happy birthday?
Oh no!! You two ate it all?????? But we'll be 'home' tomorrow! Must rummage through freezer and other spots in hopes of finding some remains. June is a long way away! And love the photo.
