Country Music Hall of Fame Dome by jyokota

Country Music Hall of Fame Dome

Last day in Nashville. The conference ends today so we made time to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame, adjacent to our hotel. Unfortunately, I know very little about the music but the museum held our interest and we were glad we went. A wider view of the room: http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2016-12-02

Cathy @calm explains that these are lyrics to a song?! and she sends a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bRJLkNqNXI

See Taffy's contextualized one in black and white, fisheye, which shows such an ultra-rounded image of the room whereas the dome looks almost flattened in my shot: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2016-12-03
Beautifully composed FAV!

Wonderful perspective. I visited Nashville for a library conference and saw some wonderful schools and libraries. And of course CMHF!

I love this, the way you've captured the full ring, the way you've created an artistic rendering of an architectural element.

It is really interesting to be able to see both your and Taffy's interpretation of the same subject. Two totally different aspects and both fabulous.

I love the full ring!

This is such a great photo, Junko. I love it in color with all the detail. So different than what Taffy photographed but just as awesome. FAV

Great image :) the spike in the middle would make me feel uncomfortable if I was underneath it :)

Great shot!

I really like how you have exposed for the light, so the edges fade off into black. It makes the central circle look like it is floating in space. :) Very neat to see this shot, compared with @taffy's photo of the same place.

Awesome perspective! I am very familiar with the song "Will the Circle Be Unbroken"... this song was recorded and lyrics altered by the Carter Family who lived near where I do. Often sung at funerals.

@calm - I had no idea it was a song! Oh, the things I don't know.
December 4th, 2016
I really like this technique of shooting!

@jyokota https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bRJLkNqNXI I grew up in Dolly Parton's hometown, and now live in Southwest Virginia where June Carter Cash grew up. Country and bluegrass music are the predominant styles of music, though not my favorites... I do appreciate it. Your photo gives country music some class!

@calm -- listening now, and linked to the narrative above. Thx!! The music sounds familiar, since I did live in Texas for 15 years in a past life.
