@joysabin -- wow, what an analysis! I first saw this tree in Páll's book he published so I recognized it when we walked by it. I took a few shots before continuing to the waterfalls, but took this one on the way out because of the color of the sky, the color of the tree, and the color of the grasses that came together in a way that was so different from an hour earlier.

@palljokull and @taffy -- I did virtually no processing to this image, but the colors seem somewhat Fuji-Velviaish. Should I have toned it down a little?

I'd go with Pall's judgment, but to me it looks like a velvet sky and I like the tones in the tree and grasses. So no, I wouldn't tone it down.

I wasn't there so I have no idea what the color looked like in person but I think it works really nicely and certainly brings a sense of magical light with impending doom on its way
