Ever since my fellowship in Berlin where I commuted daily for months to the temporary library location -- the place where all the containers arrived, were sorted, moved onto boats, etc., I've been fascinated by them. https://365project.org/jyokota/365/2013-06-07
Amazing photo--instant fav. Great detail and colors. Reminds me of a painting I once saw, but I haven't been able to find the painting online to compare....
@eudora -- thanks for the fav! Hmm . . . a painting you once saw . . . it sort of reminds me of a Damien Hirst Pill Cabinets exhibit I saw in Munich! But if you do think of whose art it was, let me know because I'd like to see it, too.
Thanks for your comments -- I hadn't added the commentary at the time you all visited but now I have. @eudora@kali66@Weezilou@julzmaioro@dkbarnett@happypat@maggiemae -- This was taken over Seattle (sorry I'm posting late). @julzmaioro -- This is a "planescape" -- a tag that @Weezilou and I coined a few years ago and we use to tag all photos taken from an airplane window.
What an excellent new word/tag, do you mind if I adopt it too where appropriate? As you'd well know, I find these kinds of industrial shots very appealing and this one's no exception.
