Ulm Church and Christmas Market by jyokota

Ulm Church and Christmas Market

The Ulm Church is the highest church in the world, until the Sagrada Familia Church is completed. The Christmas Market surrounding it was festive and fun.
Awesome pic, love how you've framed the church. Is this with a fisheye?

@jyokota Ah, thanks for linking me to this one, I had missed it! Yes, we did go to the Adventmarkt in Ulm on Sat 16th Dec. A few years ago, when I was 50, I did a list of 50 things to do in that year and one of them was to climb to the top of the tower in Ulm.......I did it! It was quite scary up there on a windy day but brilliant.

I @casablanca You mean we could have met in person? I posted this for the 17 but look at the date I took it. On the 16th!!! How sad that we didn’t know. I did see someone photographing near the glass Blowers

@jyokota Oh my!! But you have blue skies. We were there in the evening after dark. So close! Another time if we head that way, I'll check if you are around. We have often stopped there en route for Austria as it takes us a day and a half to drive.

@casablanca -- We spent the day there, beginning with snow in the morning, a bit of blue sky in the middle of the day, and ending with lights at night. We also went to the Museum of Bread Culture. I've spent three months in Munich this year -- I'll be back in July next year. Yes, let's stay in touch and see if we can meetup in real life!

@jyokota You're on! We had driven all the way from London that morning, went out for dinner when we arrived and explored the market in the evening. One of the best markets I had seen in a while. How bizarre we were so nearby! We'll have to co-ordinate next time, it would be fun :)
