This brings back to mind my experience in a Ryokan many years ago. Completely unversed in Japanese culture, my husband and I had no idea how to tackle the Ryokan breakfast. We were also oblivious of the large pots of steaming rice around the room - we had thought they were heaters! Hope your group had a good breakfast. It certainly makes a great picture.
