I went to Morton Arboretum and walked around the vast acreage, hoping to see this very bird. I stepped over a log in tall grass, but didn't see the smaller log on the other side of it. My hiking boot got wedged and I fell flat on my face -- and on top of my camera with the big lens. It literally knocked me out. When I revived, my hiking partner wanted me to sit and rest but I said I wanted to see the bluebird he had promised lived in these woods. We continued walking and I finally was able to see this beautiful bluebird!
such a beautiful shot for your effort and the mishap. aces! i hope you're well, and if you fainted, gotta see the doc just to make sure all's good with you, my friend. take care.
What a little beauty! My goodness what a shock for you falling like that and knocking yourself out! I hope you are feeling ok and are not suffering from concussion! Any bruising to your face? Hope you are ok?
