The male of the piping plover pair that has been mating/nesting in Chicago on Lake Michigan every year since 2019. Last year, their eggs were stolen and eaten yet they quickly laid more and hatched three little ones. Monty winters in Texas, and Rose winters in Florida. Monty has been back a couple of days. now -- I wonder when Rose will return?
