I adore the curve of the clouds. I haven’t seen the color version yet but I suspect the curve and the way it takes the eye to the barn will be less obvious

It rained every day and although it was a challenge keeping the water off the front of my lens it certainly made for high drama clouds. @jgpittenger you are right! I hadn’t quite figured out how that cloud curve is an important part of this composition and now I completely see why this version works better.

I’m now traveling and with a small travel computer that has none of my photos on it so I will pick up Palouse again when I return home. Meanwhile stay tuned for Doha and Kuala Lumpur photos!
