We stopped at a nice grocery store near Hamilton, New Zealand, to get fresh-baked bread and cheese, coffee and juice for breakfast before heading out to see the Bridal Veil Waterfall. We pulled over at a rest area near the beginning of a hiking trail and were sitting in the car having breakfast when this chicken announced itself, and came right up to the open car door to beg for food. So, why did the chicken come to breakfast?
Is your last line the beginning of a joke? Seriously beautiful clarity and color. I love how the angled division of the gravel road with the lighter yellows and rust colors parallel the coloring of the chicken.
Cute shot, great detail.
PS Can I suggest that you tag your photo with the name of the place your're at - at least the country / biggest city, as a source of reference?
@jodimuli -- thanks, I chose this one precisely for that reason! @vankrey -- Yes, or at least, my attempt at a joke. My family tells me I have no sense of humor so I wonder why it is that you at least considered it? I hadn't even noticed the background colors but now I see how nice it is! @mara19500 -- great idea . . . I tagged the country in "tags" but not the closest city (it was in the countryside) but I didn't include any information in the narrative like I usually do. Thanks for noticing.
