So, it's more than a month after Camera Setting Challenge: Sun Flare, hosted by Taffy and Paul. They describe it this way: "According to some sources, sun flares at one time were thought of as a flaw in a photograph, but they have become increasingly popular. Sun flares can be shot in camera or processed through programs like photoshop. This challenge is to capture the sun flare In Camera, not through post processing."
It had been a busy week of travel for me and I missed that challenge, but I felt inspired by the challenge and the resulting images others posted so it stayed on my mind. Fying home from Belgium, I captured a sun flare by tilting my camera upwards to where I could tell the sun was shining towards my airplane window, and I shot blindly without looking. Interesting effect . . . I only wish the plane window had been clean!
