Japanese New Year on American Door

My Get-Pushed Partner, Martine @3sixty5 said, "For your challenge I would love to see an image that shows something of a new years celebration in your mixed anglo asian culture."

This is a decoration with symbols of the Japanese New Year celebration, but placed on the front door to my house as if it were an American door "wreath" people often put on their doors.

Note to self: Next time, clean the window before taking a photo!
Here's a second attempt at get-pushed, @3sixty5

Great shot Junko, and the picture might not be as good if the window was clean. Best to do a before and after shot :)

Wonderful contrast between the colors in the "wreath" and the gray door. Your windows have texture. Makes them more interesting.
