Sunburst on a Cold Day

It was such an amazingly cold day that the temperature must have impacted the ways in which the camera captured images. Of course, one should never look directly into the sun, so I simply held up my camera, vaguely pointed towards the sun, and clicked.

I took this photo in the frigid cold while waiting for my husband to pick me up in the car -- but unbeknownst to me, he was being interviewed by some national news show because he was one of the few walking on Michigan Avenue in such weather! Meanwhile, I felt my face getting frost bitten.

Wow, I like this. Is that clouds or smoke from the the buildings?

Is this cloud or steam. It is a very striking image either way.

Very successful image -- it conveys the cold, and the beauty of the cold. Did you see Bill on the news?
