Duck by k9photo

Duck

This duck was one of five ducks that came swimming over to the shoreline near us. It's definitely a dabbling duck and probably a mallard female or juvenile. "Dabbling Ducks are named for the way they feed at the surface of water, by "dabbling" - moving the bill around in water while feeding, rather than by diving." (beautyofbirds.com)
Excellent focus on this beautiful duck...love the wet beak and seeing the feet. Your shot is nicely framed with the grasses. Fav
