Cannonball Jelly by k9photo

Cannonball Jelly

We encountered several of these jellyfish on our beach walk last evening. According to the Georgia Wildlife Resources: Although cannonball jellyfish are not known for stinging humans, the toxin from a cannonball can cause cardiac problems in both humans and animals alike.
Cool find and very interesting capture.

Gosh, what an intriguing looking thing! And the name! Cannonball jellyfish… wow. I have visions of these things coming swimming at you like the proverbial missile their name suggests. It has a fish-like shape. A most interesting capture.
