Oh that's stressful (for both of you), you would expect a deer to be skittish and run out of the way when they heard the noise of the car.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you are OK and not too much damage to the car. Deer are quite a hazard at times. Their mothers never taught them to stop, look and listen before crossing the road.
