a quick snap from a long way away, I had the wrong white balance setting but turns out I like the colour cast so I left it. Kind of a wistful little look in the rain, he and his friends were liking the berries on the himalayan honeysuckle.
The colours are lovely Kali! I was flying to Cobar while you lucky dudes were nervously sitting back listening to the Judges comment. I saw E wrote that it was a tough Judge!
You have some lovely shots! Although it hasn't been officially announced yet, you are the winner for the Technique challenge. Hopefully she will announce the winner tomorrow (if not I will do it). If you haven't already please consider what technique you would like to cover for the next challenge or who you could have host the next challenge for you. Please include in the description to feel free to post any photos in the thread for feedback. The challenge is meant to be not just merely a competition but also a learning tool, especially for those who are brand new at it. Congratulations - what a stunning shot to win with!
@myhrhelper thanks for that Kathy, I was thinking split toning as a processing technique to feature would that suit? not that I know much about it myself yet, I will have to do some research before I post the challenge.
Wow, I don't know anything about split toning and always bypass it in Lightroom when doing the processing. I think that would be wonderful! Please provide feedback and welcome others to do so also. I will be looking forward to that challenge.
You are having such fun with your challenges. I love your energy and creativity. I love this surrealistic photo. Adds a different cognitive dissonance to the viewing.
Here is the wording from the 1st one that you (or whoever you get to host) can use.
