@tori_shaw the 50 is good because it has raw files, I get a wee bit frustrated with that at times too, but a friend told me that the f8 on this camera is computed differently and is actually equivalent to say f11? went over my head with technical stuff, but basically its not as bad as all that lol
@kali66 ooo thats fab. I cant shoot in Raw :( ... didnt know anything about raw until i joined 365 so wouldnt have even known to look for it when choosing my camera. In hindsight I would probably have gone up to the 50 too.
This is beautiful, in a sad, lonely kind of way...wistful. It reminds me of this book I read (based on a true story) called Remarkable Creatures. The title is a double entendre because it is about two single women, in the late 1800s I think it was, who found fossils on the beach...and they wanted to get into studying them, but only men could do that back then. But they persevered anyway, and found a discovery of a life time.... When the book described their beach, I saw this one here....
This looks great in enlarged, really get to see the dark tones and detail in the beach which gives the contrast to the white foam. I like the way you have been able to bring out the white of the foam in such a dark setting. FAV
Hey, Kali! There were several moments this weekend where I thought, 'oh, I need to get on 365 and issue Kali a challenge!' Then something would distract me lol. So here it is! I challenge you this week to photograph soft. Interpret that however you wish! And I do look forward to trying out minimalism this week :)
