these are funny birds, they doddle around almost always in pairs around the tide line playing dodge with the edges of the waves while they poke the sand for tidbits
@kiwinanna thanks Liana, I have a wonderful zoom on my camera, they spook easily if you get too close. the two birds in the shot was much more interesting than just one.
Those staring eyes and very long beaks give them a humorous look, but they're beautiful too, with those glossy feathers. You caught them really well here, I like the detail and the composition and the way the one in front has one foot lifted in mid step. Fav for me!
