taking a sip

The bees adore the pretty blue alkanet, and I have planted it all around our garden for them. I have learnt a lot after trying for days to get a shot like this. keeping the zoom at 135mm seems to be best and a wide foot stance so I can swivel, they move so fast. then its a waiting game. I am amazed at how tatty their wings are
Lovely capture!great detail on the plant as well as the bee.

How cute, the bee balanced so well with such a small pair of wings. The eye is so big, or is it an eye?
