Love all the layers of blue both in the sky and mountains. The grass in the bottom really compliments the blues.
Thanks for the heads up on mike's lonely bench project. @miamispice a whole project dedicated to benches is amazing.
I really like this. It captures Hokitika from a viewpoint not often seen. Funny thing is, I was going to put up a lonely bench yesterday, but decided to wait until today - and I had never heard of the project. I'll check it out. Thanks
What a beautiful view one sees from these benches. This is such a nicely composed photo. And thank you for sharing a link to Mike's Lonely Bench Project. I thoroughly enjoyed going through those photos.
Very nice picture Kali! so peaceful, love the composition and the idea of the lonely bench project. I also have something like it in my project http://365project.org/camim/365/2013-12-01
@kali66 thanks for all the feedback jan 1nd to jan 11th are all from NZ - a personal fave is the jan 3rd offering from queenstown !! Sadly will have to make do mostly with uk ones for the remainder of the year with some local Europe trips planned hopefully !
very strange set of inclusions, in a perspective-shifting way i like a lot. each stratum contains a particular, unique object space/shape/texture/color/idea, and one can follow the concept of a human civilization starting from the ground up---natural history progressing through technological achievement and then following our short life spans into the oblivion of eons. that it is an empty bench is, to me, even more suggestive and evocative.
