friends who write letters

Joan's challenge this week is 'giving thanks'
I am thankful for some kind friends with whom I exchange real letters. Something sweet about the extra effort and I love seeing handwriting, it can tell you so much about the person.
That is really something you don't see these days.

@kali66 I like what you say, Kahli - seeds don't grow in my garden, they just sulk!

Boy, I don't get many hand written letters any more. People don't want them from me as my handwriting is really bad. You have really done a lovely job with this challenge as I knew you would.

I used to write lots of letters to my cousin. I've still got them. And with a school friend we had a notebook and we would write in it and exchange almost daily. Never do it anymore, apart from an odd postcard now and then. Your image makes me a bit melancholic.

@overalvandaan you have to make the effort to do it, then people respond I find... it might take them a while to get around to it though :)

Wow - hadn't really thought of that...letter writing is sort of a forgotten thing with email. The things technology causes us to miss out on...

I like the way you've surrounded the photograph with the letters.
