Lani asked me to come up with something that could be used as a halloween card, this is a combo of 3 images taken this week. I dont really relate to the ghoulish aspects of the commercialised thing, it has never been such a big thing in NZ, especially when i was growing up. So i looked into the pagan origins of some of the traditions associated with all hallows eve, and discovered soul cakes were the original treat, made and distributed amongst families to commemorate their dead loved ones, so i made some slightly spicy currant biscuits from a traditional recipe online.
