I'm still surprised when I learn of burn piles being used. I didn't know they were still allowed anywhere until I began visiting relatives in WA state. It was strange to see.
Heck, here in the L.A. area we now even have No-Burn days where people aren't allowed to use their FIREPLACES.
I think I even heard that 'someone' wants to ban wood burning fireplaces and convert them all to natural gas.
