I took this photo last night at the Osage City Cemetery. I was simply trying to get a cool shot of the sun's rays peering through the trees and atop the tombstones. It wasn't until later that I realized there was a silhouette that looks like a human figure standing with his right arm toward the sky.
My husband and I both drove out to the cemetery this morning to look for the statue or tombstone that resembled the silhouette. There was no such statue or tombstone.
Perhaps it's simply a blending of tombstone and tree limbs. However, when I went back to the computer to mess around with a copy by cropping the photo, lightening it, adding HDR effects, etc., the mysterious silhouette remains intact. The lower part of it is a different density than the upper part. The "angelic" apparition, however, is intriguing.
I went back again to the cemetery tonight to check out the surroundings at sunset, and I simply can't see anything that accounts for this.
