Went out for a walk this evening to continue my experimentation with bracketing via Kansas Sunflowers! One sunflower caught my attention because of the heart-shape within the Sunflower's cluster. While trying to identify what the inside of the flower is called, I discovered that the flower of a sunflower is actually several flowers, which is why it is considered an inflorescence (group of several flowers). Just for fun, even though this pic was awesome SOOC, I did the following processing steps: focal b&w, then neon, then adjusting the color to yellow, then highlighting. I thought the end result was kinda neat. Best viewed enlarged.
