If we preserve the past
We shan’t repeat it

Note: Pictured are a large number of the bullet holes on the facade of a residential building at the Sophienkirche in Berlin. They occurred during house-to-house fighting in April 1945 and remain as testimony to a terrible chapter in Berlin's history and are preserved as historical monuments.
