Nut-boats.

It´s a popular Christmas tradition in my country. Empty walnut nutshells are used as small boats for a candle to float on water. Each family member places their candle in a nutshell and the nutshell in a bowl of water or a water basin. It is thought that the little boats can predict the future. If the boats stay together, the family will too.
