A mother holds her daughters hand for such a short while, her heart she holds forever
Today was the worst day, as my beautiful mother passed away this morning after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. She died with my Dad at her bedside peacefully and I have spent the last 5 weeks with her, ever since we got the news that she only had weeks left.
I have so many treasured memories that I will keep in my heart forever.
Kim I am sooooo sorry honey! I just lost my mom to cancer just about two years ago (Aug 1st). I will not tell you that things will get better and all the things people seem to say. I will say that you will find the strength to carry on because you know your mom would want it that way. You will have days where things seem normal to an extent and there will be days when you just want to cry and sleep. I want you to know that I am here for you always!! I miss my mom every second of every day she was my best friend and I wish this loss on noone!! It makes me cry to know you are going through this pain as I know it all to well and its very hard. I know we only know eachother through this project but please know that I mean it when I say I am here for you...if you want my email my number whatever. You can call me at 1 in the morning if you are having a hard time. I know exactly what you are going through and my heart goes out to you and your family. Your mom was a beautiful lady and she proved she was strong for fighting sending hugs your way. Bless your mom may she find peace at last and also remember she will be with you always!
@sexywitch thank you so much, I was truly touched by your reply and also saddened that you have been through this so recently yourself. Its wonderful to know that I have friends who understand the loss and I will certainly go on as Mom would have wanted. It has made me have a better understanding and even respect for death and makes me want to make more of my life than I already do. All we can do is make the most of every day to honor our mothers memories.

@kdrinkie Well hon you are more then welcome. It is so hard and trust me I know where your at and I like you am so glad to have friends who can relate with me and understand where Im at. I like you agree 110% that you do have to live each day to the fullest and continue to make our moms proud of us and honor them! Always remember I am here for you anytime and I truly mean that.
