So todays photo is a shot of one of the leaves on my maple tree which is covered with these red bumps. I have them scattered over quite a bit of the tree and wonder what they are? They were there last year too and then were gone. Are they going to turn into bugs? Is it a disease? Maybe one of you can help me find out??
@kimshots thanks so much for the info, looks like I am too late to treat the mites this year but I know what to do next spring now to stop them. I truly appreciate your help.
@kerristephens@maggie2 thanks for your comments, I did like the contrast in the colors too and because they are raised they sure add some detail to the leaves. I'm still going to prevent them next year though as I dont want my poor tree destroyed!
I'm thinking (not 100% sure) a type of fungus but it looks like flowers.
Great shot, thanks for the follow. Hopefully you can partake in the new camera challenges unless you already know all the settings from your D50..
Love this shot too!
