Today was a really sad day for me. My best friend since childhood sent me a message to say that her mom had died today after a long battle with cancer. It brought back everything I went through last year with my own mom's passing and made me really sad.
I took this in the late evening after watering my new spruce tree and because it was like a tear-drop I thought it expressed how I felt today.

I'm so sorry for your friend and for you...a year is no time at all. My Mum died 27 years ago and I still miss her. This is a beautiful shot to honour the life of your friend's Mum xx
