Hanging out!

I couldn't believe it when I uploaded my pics that this little guy was so anxious to get to my feeder he was flying with his tongue sticking out!!!

That’s so amazing! I didn’t realize they had tongues that long. That explains why they’re still able to get to the nectar in my feeder when it looks low.

Wow. Didn't know these lived in Delaware. I worked for a summer in Pennsylvania once, and never knew they lived that far north.

@iancam Ian I lived in NJ for 2 years and never saw one! In fact I had lived here a few years before my friend told me she had them on her feeder. I went out the next day to buy one and have had them visit every summer since :)

Amazing shot Kim. I just love hummingbirds. They are so hard to capture because they are quicker than my finger hitting the shutter.
