Today I was taken back to the year 1990, when my mother let my younger sister and I get our ears pierced. We were so proud of our newly adorned ear lobes! A few years later I stopped wearing earrings and let the holes close... or so I thought! I've been wishing they hadn't closed. This morning I happened to think of it, and I tried pushing an old earring in (after swabbing it with alcohol)... and it worked! It feels special to wear earrings again.
