It was 10 years ago this month that I had my daughter. I had a full time job, a newborn, and felt like I had to juggle some things, and let go of some others. Another two years and a few months later, I had my son – more juggling and letting go...
Your children bring you happiness and completeness, but they inevitably change the dynamic of your world and at one point or another make you question who you are, who you want to be, who you could become – and your job as a parent is to stay the course, and do/be the best for your family and for yourself as part of that family.
This photo is for the 5+2 challenge to take ourselves back 10 years and reflect on how far we’ve come. I had thoughts of doing a cliché motherhood photo, or some type of juggling act photo… but the thought that kept coming back was the ‘We Can Do It’ poster! Symbol of a strong female production worker… that’s my last 10 years. In a much more happy way than during WWII, I might add. ;)
Thanks for sharing....motherhood changes you and your focus/outlook on life until the children leave the nest. After that you undergo another change and take a different journey/road to discovery of self.
@samzee thanks Sam, that's the way to do it! :) @sarahsthreads thanks so much Sarah! @seaside thank you for your thoughts, that's neat to think about. Life is all about change... all the time. @kali66 thank you Kali... your interpretation was breathtaking and so moving. xoxo
