Starman, Starman! by kerosene

Starman, Starman!

He only did one "Starman" - piece of cake. During basic training in the army, this was one of the preferred punishments for some of the drill sergeants to make a large group do. You had to stand at attention and on their (rapid) count, you jumped up in the air as high as you could extending your limbs into a star and yelled in unison: "Starman, starman!" I can't tell you how exhausting it is after just a few minutes. The soldiers in the company next to ours were forever being punished with this drill - we couldn't see them well but sure heard them all the time, which we found very funny. After all we had our own rounds of punishments too - which at the time I found very funny too, because what are you gonna do? Good times.
