Forgive the quality, but I was shooting from a permanently screened window when I saw these two at play - my son and the little neighbor. My son can remind me of Linus (from Charles Schulz's Peanuts), but she's much quieter than Sally; she's a very soft-hearted, sweet-tempered little girl who always pets Mac the cat when he's outside (which is often).
She was telling a story about how she was grounded once, which was surprising to hear. After being prompted, she divulged that her punishment came after she'd squirted soap on the bathroom floor. It was deliberate: she was setting up a trap for her older sister. Unfortunately, it was her mom who fell into the trap. Which resulted in the grounding.
I agree with everyone above, the soft focus through the screen just adds to the shot. It's a beautiful shot and your point of view and framing is so lovely. The light on their legs is so unexpected and adds so much. Beautiful shot.
