My oldest is happily going through the monument, but my son is waiting for me, most likely wondering what I am doing so low to the ground. It was a frigid day to go to the park, with the cold wind whipping our faces and turning our cheeks bright pink... But we had fun!
I would rather have posted one of the photos of the kids walking in the tall grass (they didn't turn out), or the red fox we spotted (he ran before I could snap any), or the questionable (phallic) door knocker of one of the old buildings there (the resulting photo was very boring)... But this is what I've got.
The monument is supposed to honor George Washington and his Continental Army, and the park is an old battle site.
