Suburbia

On the outskirts of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.

Today I am thankful for the opportunity to spend time with my eldest daughter. We ventured away from home on a car ride, that weaved up and down the Derwent River. The day was glorious and the company warming. We did however stay within the required distance from home due to the current restrictions.
How wonderful to be able to visit your daughter again.

These are the important things. It is interesting to see how each country is applying different restrictions and at different stages. I wish we were being more cautious in the UK.

Your suburbia has nice shapes and flow -- whereas my suburbia is all straight lines and blocks. Is the river under the Richmond Bridge (I photographed it when I was in Tasmania) the Derwent River ?
June 2nd, 2020
@jyokota no the river the Richmond bridge crosses is called Coal River. Derwent River is the main river that Hobart's Tasman Bridge crosses.

@kgolab -- ah, I think I took a photo of that from an up-high vantage point.

@jyokota you probably would have gone for a drive up Mt. Wellington. That's the best vantage point :)

@kgolab -- yes! There was snow up there. But also to another point that overlooks the bridge, almost directly above it if I remember correctly.

@jyokota That is likely to be 'Rosny Hill Lookout' which is on the other side of the Derwent River to Mt. Wellington and the main parts of Hobart. It has a fabulous view of the bridge.

@kgolab -- Yes! that sounds right.
