Book Shelf in my Bedroom

I would love to know what books you have all read and would recommend that are, I suppose dedicated to be 'Self Help' books. One's that you personally have found helpful, insightful or just a great read.

Recent changes in our life have had me reading the following books:

*The Myth of You and Me - Leah Stewart (not a self help book, but has a great message).
*The Barefoot Investor - Scott Pape
*The little book of mindfulness - Dr Patrizia Collard
*The book of you - Various Authors
*The Happiness Project - Gretchen Ruben
*The subtle art of not giving a F**K - Mark Mason and other's.

I am currently reading 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear and are looking towards the next book to add to my shelf for further reading.

So please hit me with your suggestions and tell me why you like it.

I thank you all in advance for your suggestions, support and friendship, it means the world to me.

I know I am able to get through the situation my family and I find ourselves in, but I would love your support and reading ideas!

Again, thanks in advance.

Today I am thankful for the family gathering that occurred around our table. Sunday's are a day when we try especially hard to all get all four of us together and share a meal (usually everyone works different nights). I love to cook a Sunday Roast in honour of my family and to keep a tradition alive.
Little bookworm is adorable. Here’s one for your collection, “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff” by Richard Carlson, Ph.D.
Great to keep those traditions going! Happy Sunday and the week ahead Keren!

@marlboromaam Just one shelf of many. Each one has its own thread / theme.

Great shot, I can’t help you on book recommendations, I am not a big reader.

Gorgeous little bookworm, afraid I cannot recommend any books.

Great books. I love reading too. Mostly on my electronic reader though!

Great presentation of your books :)

Maybe not a "self help" book per se, but I really enjoyed "Becoming" by Michelle Obama. There's a lot of wisdom there. Kudos to you for reading these, I mainly read as a "getaway!"

Good for you, reading so many books. I seem to never make the time, but know I would enjoy it if I'd just do it!

I loved looking at all your titles here. I am a massive reader but I don’t really read self help books....well up to now I haven’t....I imagine they will be very helpful for anyone seeking help & info. I also loved Becoming by Michelle Obama....she speaks & writes with wisdom.

A lovely stack of colourful books that fills the frame. My reading at present is local social history and research for my writing.

My first and foremost go to book is the Bible- particularly the Gospel of Matthew- chapters 5,6 and 7- Jesus' teachings on life in the Sermon on the Mount. My favorite part is chapter 7 verses 25-34. I also like the Psalms (Psalm 90 verse 12 is one that reminds me to be wise with my time and the way I live)- well, I really like it all! Haha. I also like the writing of Gordon MacDonald- The Life God Blesses and A Resilient Life were two of my favorites of his. After that I enjoy non-fiction books about events and archaeology. Sometimes biographies too. I used to read a lot more than I do now. I'm writing more than I'm reading but I keep reminding myself I should really get back to doing that!

Some titles made me smile ...😂

I am a bit of a book worm but am not able to add to your reading list at the moment. Will be happy to do so later.

Cute little book worm.

Check out Crush it by Gary Vaynerchuk. It’s older, but really insightful.

Can’t be of service, I’m sorry; I DID love Ikigai and had my daughter and son read it ☺️

I don't read self help books, much prefer chick lit, crime or psychological thrillers although I have read both the f*ck books

Nice shot

Sounds like you’ve had a productive lock down

A concise, in a nutshell, easily read, international bestseller is ‘Being Happy!’ by Andrew Matthews. A great (not intense) read, that I’d recommend 😉

Sorry I can't help you with any suggestions Keren, but I hope that things go well for you and your family.

My choice of books are almost always biographies or historical but I read anything that is interesting. Nowadays after a couple of pages I start snoozing and give up.

An interesting selection of books 📚

I've always enjoyed books by Sark. They are very colorful and and me smile, but not sure if they are available in Australia. One I have enjoyed for 20 years is Living Juicy because it can either be picked up for a day or followed for a year or followed by theme. Plus she gives recommendations for further on each theme (a bit dated by now but still interesting!).

Lovely capture, but I’m not great when it comes to reading books (do it all too infrequently sadly) usually only a good novel when I’m on holiday! 🙈 📚
