Rockledge Mansion's Little Sister by khawbecker

Rockledge Mansion's Little Sister

This quaint little house at 450 Mill Street sits in the shadow of the Rockledge Mansion in Occoquan, Virginia. The Mansion was built in 1758 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It gets all of the attention. This little gem is overlooked in most photos of the area, despite its attractive moss-covered shingles and unusual multi-paned front window.
I like the point of view.

I just love old buildings and this has so much character with the green moss on the sloping roof. A very nice capture.

@almondjoy1 This hill would be perfect for a hobbit house, Joy. @ladymagpie Thanks, Heather. The green moss is what attracted me to this little place.

@otter I agree. The moss on the roof is the best part.
