Revisiting Fort Necessity

On another long trip from Iowa, we found ourselves again at Fort Necessity for a stretch of the legs. In comparison to my last visit in May, the field in which the fort is located now has a very mid-summer look to it. While there, a tree fell in the forest nearby, crashing to the ground and startling all of us.

Such an interesting fort....lovely textures and color. Wonder why the tree fell..and glad no one was too close!!
